sets the font color on your page this is what you are seeing now.

sets the color of links that is the one that will show up on your page.

If you want a different color in the middle of you page this is the HTML that you use

I have a habit of messing it up at times because i forget to change it. So if you are not sure just go into the file where your backgrounds are and right click and go down to properties and click on that it will tell you if it is a gif or a jpg.
